George "Buck" R. LaCroix, 94, of Central Square, passed peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday.
Born to George and Emilie LaCroix in Malone, NY. Buck honorably served his country with the US Army Air Force during WWII as an Airplane Electrical Mechanic-Gunner and Aerial Engineer for B-29 Bombers. He spent many years with Carpenter's Local #12 and was proud to point out his job sites around Syracuse. In his leisure time Buck enjoyed gardening and "tinkering" with anything and everything. He was the master of DIY and could repair anything with re-purposed materials.
Buck is predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Helen LaCroix in 2018. He is survived by his sister Lillian Genau; children, Steven LaCroix, Peter LaCroix, Daniel (Michael Finney) LaCroix, and Paul (Nancy) LaCroix; step children Danny (Fay) Wilson, Darryl (Pam) Wilson, Brenda Milliman, Bonnie (Rick) Colella, Sherri Wilson, and Stephen (Kristin) Wilson; grandchildren, Candace LaCroix, Austin Harmer, Christy (Adam) Ortiz, Nick (Erin) Wilson, Andrew Wilson, Emma and Olivia Wilson, Sandy Milliman, Joseph (Emily) MIlliman, Jaime (Santos) Rodriguez, Marc (Kristen Mullen) Colella, Melissa (Mike) Brown, Christopher (Jen) Colella, and Cole Wilson; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Ryan Ortiz, Talia, Max and Finn Wilson, Nathan Milliman, Lexie and Jonathan Brown, Nicholas and Sofia Colella, Cameron and Gabriel Rodriguez, and Liam Hilton; and great-great-grandchild, Addy Brown.
