The snow that fell Wednesday was from all the fishermen cutting holes in the ice from above to welcome one of their own.
George “Perk” Perkins passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 after a hard fought battle with cancer, two weeks after his 80th birthday.
Perk was born November 29, 1940 to George and Elsie Perkins in Ontario, NY. He resided in Macedon, NY from early childhood thru the early 70s. After running a successful plumbing business in the Rochester area, he was able to semi-retire in Constantia, NY on Oneida Lake.
He was an excellent outdoorsman, conservationist, and golfer as a long time member of Grandview Golf Club. He lived for all seasons. In the fall, he would take great joy pheasant hunting with his long line of faithful canines. He loved most being on the ice with his auger.
Perk will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by “Carly” his German Shorthaired Pointer.
