Gilbert Harvey Obituary

Gilbert L. Harvey, 85, of Clay, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2020.

Gilbert retired from NYS-DOT. He proudly served in the USAF during the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting, camping, and fishing with his family and friends. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and enjoyed each day with the love of his life. His kind heart and compassion for others was carried on through organ donation to help those he could.

Gilbert is survived by his wife of 64 years, Louise (Laneuville); children Lenny, Donna (Wayne), Gilbert T. (Rita), Glenn Sr. (Kellie), Betsy-Ann (Seif), Jo-Ann (Gerard), and Norman (Tammy); several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Edward; daughter Margie-Ann; and grandson Brandon Scott. Gilbert is the last survivor of his siblings.

Per Gilbert's wishes there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Syracuse VA in honor of his memory.
