James W. Parker, Sr

James W. Parker, Sr., 84,  of Pennellville, NY, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and his loving wife of 59 years, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.  He was born on June 4, 1938 in Hastings, NY to the late Stanley and the late Theodosia (Fuller) Parker. James is preceded in death by his siblings, Shirley, Carolyn, Leon, and John.

James graduated in 1955 from JCB High School in Phoenix, then went on to spend several years in the Air National Guard. He also worked for 40 years at Denton as a Refectory Mason/Supervisor. In James’ free time, he enjoyed his days spent in the barn fixing things, laying in his hammock, also camping and spending time with his wife and family. His wisdom and generous heart will be missed by all who loved him.


James is survived by his wife of 59 years, Anne Parker; his children, Raymond (Donna) Parker, Michelle (Derek) McAllister and James Parker; grandchildren, Travis Parker, Trisha (James) Allen,  Bradley (Mariyah) Parker, Wyatt Parker, Felicia Parker, Ryan and Kyle McAllister.
Calling hours will be held at Traub Funeral Home, Central Square on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 4-6 PM with a Funeral Service to follow at 6 PM. Private burial will take place at a later date.
