Jane (Proulx) Stinson

Jane L. (Proulx) Stinson, 87, passed away peacefully on August 30 at her daughter’s home in North Syracuse. Jane was born on September 11, 1933 in Jerden Falls, NY to the late Edmund and the late Rose (Chartrand) Proulx. She resided most of her life in the Central Square area. Jane was preceded in death by her husband Carl; great granddaughter, Holliann Grace; sisters Rosemary Bush and Lamoine Schwendy; and brothers, James Proulx and Anthony Proulx.

Jane enjoyed playing games, puzzles, reading books, and she had her “Bunko Buddies”. She enjoyed traveling.  She was so proud of her family and loved them all. Jane had many friends and loved volunteering at Divine Mercy and the Downstairs Scotty Food Pantry for many years.

Jane is survived by her children, sons Edward (Connie) Cicero, Ronald (Theresa) Phoenix AZ, Andrew (Theresa) Cleveland, Timothy (Van Marie) Lacona, David (Sandra) Colorado Springs and daughter Lola Briele, North Syracuse; her sisters Claire Owens, Dorothea Nortz, Mary Ellen (Paul) Baker; brother David Proulx; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and loving friends.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 4-7 PM at the Traub Funeral Home, 684 N. Main St, Central Square. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 AM on Friday at Divine Mercy Parish, 592 S. Main St,  Central Square, NY 13036.
