Janet F. Dougherty
"Grandma Jan", 83, of Central Square passed away on Wednesday, October 02, 2024 from injuries she sustained in a recent car accident.
Janet was born in Syracuse on April 03, 1941 to the late A. Bradley Fuller and Dorothy Fuller Wilson. She graduated from St. Joseph’s College of Nursing, and dedicated many years to Auburn Memorial Hospital. Later, she worked for Diginity Plus Home Health Care in Central Square.
She was a strong, independent woman who had an immense passion and dedication to her career, raising her 2 girls. and helping others.
Janet and her daughters; Kim and Lisa were always attached at the hip. So much so, they became known as the “Three Musketeers”. Janet enjoyed reading, playing cards, knitting and going to her local senior center. She was also an animal lover who took great pleasure in cat sitting her grand fur babies
Besides her parents, Janet is predeceased by her siblings; Dorrine Ebel, Donald Fuller and Marilyn Morgan, as well as her long time companion; David Manro.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters; Kim (Tom) Bursler and Lisa Upham, and her grandchildren; Jessica (Trevor) Poole, Matthew (Janelle) Bursler, and Timothy Upham, as well as several nieces, nephews, and large extended family.
