Janet A. (Ottoway) Ladd

Janet A. Ladd, 92 of Hastings, New York died peacefully at home following a long illness, Friday, March 13, 2026 with her daughter. Christina and K9 companion Lilly Bean at her side. Janet was born May 14, 1933 in Syracuse, New York, daughter of the late Lyle and Gertrude McVinney Ottoway. She was predecesed by her husband Raymond H. Ladd who died in 2004.

Janet had a wide variety interests including crafting, cake, candy making and camping at Little Bear and Dowie Dale.

Surviving are a daughter, Christina Ladd; sisters, Karen Meeks and Sherry Russell; brothers, Terry and Karl Ottoway; several nieces, nephews and her best friend and dog, Lily Bean.

Services and burial in Hillside Cemetery, Central Square, New York will be held in the spring.
