Obituary
Jean Cronk Burrows, 82 of Newton Falls New York passed away peacefully from Alzheimer’s Disease. Born in Scriba, New York. She enjoyed a career working with the public as an elected Town Clerk of West Monroe New York for 15 yrs. Owner of Bills Place Hotel in Constantia New York, Manager Cranberry Lake Lodge, Cranberry Lake, New York and long term owner of her favorite home, The Newton Falls Hotel in Newton Falls, New York for more than 30 plus years.
She is survived by her Sisters, Marlene White of Rochester New York, Sarah Davis of Venice Florida and a brother Oscar Cronk Jr. of Australia.
Jean leaves behind five children, Mary Beth Paura Howard of Constantia, New York, Joseph ( Stacey) Paura of West Monroe, New York, Raymond “Skip” Janacek of West Monroe, New York, Jerry Janacek and Jeanine “Nene” Janacek Casselman both of Clover South Carolina. She enjoyed her seven grandsons: Chad, Andy and Nick Howard: Bart and Sheldon Paura, Luke and Aden Casselman and two great-grandchildren, Brantley and Carly Howard.
Those who knew Jean would describe her as a caring, giving and loving person.
Family will hold a” A Toast” to Jean on Friday September 22, 2023 from 2:00 - 4:00pm at the American Legion, 264 Benson Mines, Star Lake, New York 13690
On Saturday September 23, 2023, a Celebration of Life will take place from 1:30 - 4:00pm at the VFW, 1560 New York Route 49, Constantia, New York 13044
At Jean’s request her final resting place will be at the Newton Falls Hotel.
