Jean M. Stanford

Jean M. Stanford, 88, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 3, 2020.

Jean was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She was always willing to help anyone in need. Jean enjoyed bowling, camping, puzzles of all kinds, and of course trips to the casino's. She will be greatly missed.

Jean is predeceased by her husband Norman D. Stanford; daughter Janine Messinger; and son Andrew F. Stanford. She is survived by her daughter Karen (Alex) Sitnik of Bridgeport, NY; sisters Rosemary DeStefano of Colorado Springs, CO and Delores Short of San Antonio, TX; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, from 11 am to 1 pm, at Traub Funeral Home, Inc., 7975 Rt. 31, Bridgeport. Her services and burial at Assumption Cemetery will be private due to COVID-19 restrictions.
