Jennifer A. Thompson, 52, passed away at home on Sunday, February 16, 2025 surrounded by her loving husband and family.
A funeral service will be held Friday, February 21, 2025 at Traub Funeral Home in Central Square, beginning at 2:00PM.
Born on April 14, 1972 to George and June McIntosh in Watertown, NY, Jenn graduated from Sackets Harbor Central Schools in 1990. She attended Jefferson Community College where she met Carl (her husband to be). She then attended SUNY Oswego where she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology. On May 17, 2003 she married Carl Thompson at the Eis House in Mexico, NY.
Jennifer was happy maintaining her own house, garden and car. Her home was always a source of pride. She was a kind, loving person and caregiver, who was there to help anyone, with nothing expected in return. Her family will always remember the deep love and joy she gave to her husband, siblings, niece, nephews and her dogs Nikko, Rocky and Adrian. It has been said that she truly had a heart of gold.
Jenn was an avid sports fan. She loved the Yankees, Redskins, and Syracuse basketball. Carl and Jenn enjoyed traveling together over the years, going on excursions to Yankee games, Steelers games and attending many, many rock concerts.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 22 years, Carl Thompson; her parents, George and June McIntosh; her siblings, Sharon (William) Bryson, Theresa “Terry” (Chris) Hayman, George (Lisa) McIntosh, and Teresa (George) White; as well as her niece, Aubrey, and her nephews, Bruce, Jeffery and Brian. She is predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents, as well as other extended family members.
Jennifer’s family would like to extend a special thank you to their friends and neighbors, for all of their support.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Jenn's honor to Strong Memorial Hospital.
