JoAnne E. (Moynihan) Hosler

Joanne E Hosler (Moynihan) of Parish, New York passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026 due to a lengthy battle of complicated health issues. Joanne was born in Syracuse, New York on November 1, 1956 to the late Richard and Lottie Moynihan.

She graduated from East Syracuse Minoa High School and was later employed by MONY, and The United States Postal Service, both for several years.

She adored her grandchildren who brought her so much joy, laughter and love. She enjoyed doing puzzles and crocheting in her free time. Joanne enjoyed many summers at her sister Linda’s camp, known as “The Blue Acorn” located on Wellesley Island.

She is predeceased by her husband, Phil Hosler, daughter Amy Larmer and brother-in-law, Andy Widay.

She is survived by her daughter Alisha (Tyler Fayette) Hosler; son Philip (Olivia Cretaro) Hosler; sisters Linda Widay and Phyllis (Leonard) Reed; brother Richard (Linda) Moynihan and grandsons Colton, Cody and Nash; several nieces and nephews. Along with her beloved pride and joy, Miss Dandy.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 1:00PM-3:30pm with services to follow immediately at Traub Funeral Home, Inc., 684 North Main Street, Central Square, New York.

A Celebration of Life is to follow at a later date.
