John M. Palencar, 79, of Central Square, passed away at home on Wednesday, December 03, 2025, with his loving family by his side.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, to be determined.
John was born in Syracuse to the late John and Rose Polifroni Palencar on August 19, 1946. He graduated from North Syracuse High School and married Martha Heck at St. Daniel’s Church in Lyncourt on April 22, 1968. John served his country in the United States Navy as a machinist. He continued to work in the same industry for over 50 years as a CNC Machinist Supervisor for several different companies in Syracuse, NY, and then West Palm Beach, Florida.
John and Martha spent over 27 years in Jupiter, Florida, before eventually returning to New York. John was a hard worker throughout his life, always providing for his family, and it seemed as if he was always working on a different project. He also greatly enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and going to the casino.
John is survived by his wife of over 57 years, Martha Heck Palencar, his sons; Mark (Donna), Steven, and Matt (Heather) Palencar, his brother; Joseph Palencar, and his granddaughters; Brittany and Emily Palencar.
