John “Jack” Rupert, 92, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026.
Born on September 7, 1933, in Steubenville, Ohio.
Jack served in both the United States Army and Navy. Jack married the loves of his life, Marion and her three children, on August 4, 1973. From there he celebrated life and the family he built. Some of his enjoyments in life were dancing and tending bar at the Moose Lodge, winning prizes at any claw machine, reading, word searches, watching old westerns, watching football (Go Ohio State!), and most importantly, spending time with his family.
Jack is predeceased by his wife Marion, and his great-granddaughter Samara.
Those left to cherish his memory and continue on his legacy are his children, Dean Zynda, Donna Wuster, Daniel (Shelia) Zynda, and Maria (Paul) Baxter; grandchildren, Eugenie (Zoran), Matthew Evan (Alyssa), Jessica, and Jennifer (Joshua); and great-grandchildren, Luna, Zayden, Nova, and Serafina.
Jack’s wishes were to celebrate his life and the family he built on Saturday, March 14 at the American Legion in Central Square from 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm.
