Joshua N. Brayton

Joshua N. Brayton, 43, residing in Chittenango, NY passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 08, 2026.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Traub Funeral Home in Bridgeport, NY from 4:00PM to 6:00PM. A memorial gathering will follow at the Canastota American Legion beginning at 6:30PM (325 South Peterboro St., Canastota, NY 13032).

Josh was born in Oneida, NY on February 11, 1983. He attended Oneida High school and was a proud Ironworker for the Local 60 in Syracuse, NY.

He was a lover of animals, nature and the outdoors. Josh enjoyed motorcycle rides, snowboarding, and music; even writing some of his own. Most of all, he was a proud father. Josh was a great dad, and he loved his children immensely. 

Surviving is his parents; Frank (Linda) Brayton and Laurie (Ralph) Shaw, his children; Sidney and Jaxon, his sister; Jessica Brayton, extended family; Chris (Jordana) Brown, Theresa Hayes as well as many other family members and friends.
