Joyce A. Kyle, 82 years of age, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at University Hospital after a brief illness. Joyce was born April 20, 1940 in Syracuse, NY to the late Herbert and Vera Samuels. She graduated from North Syracuse Central Schools. Joyce had four children with her former husband Harold Kyle Sr. She was retired from General Electric and also known around the Brewerton, Central Square, Parish area as a bartender. Anyone who met her could not forget her. She was loved by so many and lived life to the fullest. She was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars 8823 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the American Legion, Central Square. She was always willing to volunteer and marched proudly in the parades. She loved to play golf and was proud of her hole in one. Joyce was preceded in death by her father Herbert Samuels and mother Vera Borland Samuels, her brothers Herbert Jr and Ernest Samuels. She will be sadly missed by her children: Harold “Butch” Jr (Deborah) Kyle of Central Square, Paula Salisbury (Mark Robinson) of Mexico, Ralph (Maryanne) Kyle of Baldwinsville, and Lori (George) Horning of Parish. Also sisters Flora (Robert) Booth of North Carolina and Shelia Monica of Florida. Joyce loved her grandchildren: Norah Kyle, Samantha (Kyle) Thompson, Cassandra (Benjamin) Searles, Patric (Kayleene) Hopper, Laura (Christopher) Stoker, Craig (Victoria) Korthas and Dylan Korthas along with her 12 great grandchildren beyond words. Joyce was seldom seen without her dog Roxie. Friends and family are invited to say their final good bye to Joyce and Celebrate Her Life at the Central Square American Legion, RT 49 Central Square June 26, 2022 at 1:00pm. At her request there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please bring items for donation for a pet shelter. There was nothing she loved more than the dogs and cats that came into her life. There was always a dog biscuit in her pocket to make easy friends.
