Judy Ann McKeever

Judy Ann McKeever passed away at home surrounded by her family on Monday, January 5, 2026.

Born July 23,1942 to the late Howard and Evelyn Schoonmaker.

Judy worked for Farmers and Traders Life Insurance Company for over 38 years as a claims supervisor. She was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary in Safety Harbor, Florida and Central Square, NY. She was also a member of the Brewerton Fire Department Auxiliary for many years.

Judy spent a lot of time in her gardens with her partner and companion Fran. Together they also enjoyed bus tours to casinos and other places.

In addition to her parents, Judy is predeceased by her niece Lorri Blumer.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Lisa Thompson and Joanne (Ted) Plantz; lifelong partner, Francis Maher; siblings, Michael Schoonmaker, Lee Ghiotti, Janet Eldridge, and Susan Harrington; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family would like to acknowledge Hospice of CNY as well as the wonderful care provided by her personal caregivers Lisa Nash and Anita Rudd. Along with her forever-by-her-side-friend Donna McLaughlin.

Services will be held at a later date in the spring.
