Karen A Chesbro, of Pennellville, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 12 2025.
Visitation will be held in Central Square at Traub Funeral Home on Friday, April 18 2025 from 4:00PM - 7:00PM.
Karen was born in Fulton, NY to the late Delos “Buster” and Betty Campbell on February 23, 1953. She graduated from High School and started her career at Alltel where she was also active in the union and later retired after over 20 years of service. She married Craig Chesbro on February 26, 1993.
Karen was a loving wife and nurturing mother. Besides spending time with family and friends, she enjoyed riding their Harley Davidson trike with her husband, entertaining house guests, and watching birds and other wildlife from the porch. The camp in Osceola was a favorite place for her. Karen loved to have her quiet time, reading in her rocking chair and watching the world go by. She had a love for nature and animals, especially dogs and birds.
She was delighted to have company at the house, or going out to dinner with friends and family. Many of her specialties like taco dip, baked beans and lush were always requested for holidays and events. Karen had an open door policy, and was always willing to pour you a cup of coffee or put out a snack. You didn't leave her house hungry, she probably packed you leftovers to take home.
Karen was loved by all, and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband of over 32 years; Craig Chesbro, her children; Erica (Chris) Aller, and Chad Chesbro; her grandson; Peyton, as well as several extended family and friends.
