Kenneth P. Graham

Kenneth P. Graham, 89, of Orwell, passed away on Sunday, August 04, 2024 at his home. He was under the care of Hospice, and surrounded by his loving family. 

 A Celebration of Life will be held at Orwell Union Church (3470 County Rte 22, Orwell, NY) on Sunday August 18th. Calling hours will be from 2pm-4pm at Orwell Union Church with a service immediately following. Reception and gathering will be at the Orwell Town Hall after the service has concluded. 

Kenneth was born at home in Orwell to the late Franklin E. and Mildred Graham on March 29, 1935. He married Rose Finster on October 10th 1959. 

He was employed 31 years as a crane operator for Carrier Corporation in Syracuse. Even after retirement, Ken was still doing electrical work by trade.   

A true outdoorsman; he loved hunting, fishing and camping. Ken looked forward to deer season every year with his family. A fond hunting memory for Ken were multiple trips to Newfoundland Canada; where he hunted moose and caribou. Rose was often by his side, ready with the camera. 

The Graham family also enjoyed their camping excursions at the Salmon River Reservoir, where many memories were made. Taking the boat out was always a favorite, whether it be for fishing or for waterskiing.  

Family was always extremely important to him. You could often find Ken and Rose visiting various family members. His sense of humor and jokester personality will be dearly missed.  

Besides his parents, Kenneth is predeceased by his siblings; Albert Graham, Eva May Ward, Franklin “Hank” Graham, Dora Archibee, Mildred “Midge” Reynolds, Richard Graham and Clyde Graham as well as a granddaughter; Ailsa Graham. 

Surviving Ken is his devoted wife; Rose, his children; Jeffery (Ruth) Graham, Mark (Julie) Graham and Lisa (Robert) Hedger, his brother; Donald “Donnie” Graham of Lakeland, FL, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
