Lawrence A. Doolittle III

Lawrence A. Doolittle III, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones, after a long illness.

He was born on March 3, 1942, to the late Dorothy (Keller) and Lawrence Doolittle Jr.

Lawrence worked as a Union Carpenter for several years, was owner/operator truck driver, and was the proud owner of the Lakeport Cafe restaurant.  

Some of his enjoyments in life were building and flying model airplanes competitively, fishing, camping, competitive shooting, motorcycles, and he loved animals. Lawrence was known for always helping others.

In addition to his parents, Lawrence is predeceased by his son, Scott Andrew Doolittle and his brother, Fred Edmunds.

Those left to cherish his memory are Lawrence’s daughters, Rachel A. Doolittle, and Lari (Mike) Jimerson; sister, Betty Wickens; along with several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Calling hours will take place on Monday, August 19 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, with a funeral service following immediately at Traub Funeral Home Inc., 7975 Route 31, Bridgeport, NY 13030. A graveside service will be held at St. Mary’s, Irish Ridge Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
