Lois E. Delahunt, 88 of Kirkville died Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, New York.
Lois was born in Oswego, New York on February 12, 1937, daughter of the late Willard and Frances Hall Hoyt. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Bernard P.
Delahunt in 1988 and sisters Edna Quonce, Marjorie Quonce, Alyce Livergood, Jane Maslak, Betty Smith, and Helen Schuler, brothers Earl Hoyt and Carl Hoyt.
Surviving are daughters, Bonnie (Eric) Oot and Laura (Richard) Hulchanski; sons, Jeffrey (Tami), Gary (Sherry Garrett) and Joseph (Jessica) Delahunt; sister, Nancy Riano; brothers, Jim (Joyce)
and John Hoyt; grandchildren Christopher (Reese) Hulchanski, Elizabeth (Aaron) Busch, Andrew Oot, Alec (Sierra) Hulchanski, Olivia Delahunt, Owen Delahunt, and Evan Delahunt. Lois was
also loved by her step-grandchildren Lorraine Oot, Ricky Oot, Lizabeth Oot, Kyle (Karen) Creamer, Mary (Casey) Clifford, Brian Garrett, Katie Garrett, John Kolodzie, Ashley Kolodzie,
Claudia Smith, and Isabel Smith. Her great-grandchildren include Avery Hulchanski, Greyson Hulchanski, Carson Busch, Claire Busch, Remi Hulchanski, and Nathan Busch, and step-great-
grandchildren Jake Oot, Adriana Coyle, Kaiden Minder, Rhett Creamer, Miles Clifford, and Finn Creamer. She was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Lois spent most of her childhood in East Syracuse and graduated from East Syracuse High School in 1955. After marrying Bernie, they built a home outside of Bridgeport and she spent
the remainder of her days there. Lois enjoyed spending time with her family. Annual family reunions were important to her and she never missed them. Lois loved her babies! She always
looked forward to holding the newest members of her family. In recent years, she looked forward to monthly gatherings with siblings for a coffee to catch up on family events. Back in
the day, she enjoyed trips to nearby casinos with her sisters. She never won anything big, but enjoyed the time regardless.
Calling hours will be from 11:30am to 2:00pm with a service to follow immediately on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Traub Funeral Home, Inc., 7975 Route 31, Bridgeport, New York. Spring
burial will be in Collamer Cemetery next to her husband.
