Loretta (Lori) Oakes (Lewis) passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on May 13, 2025.
Born to Jackie Brockett (Proulx) and Ed Lewis on November 9, 1976 in Syracuse, NY.
Loretta resided in Mexico, NY with her children. She had many different lines of work but enjoyed working as a CNA the most. She loved spending time outdoors doing activities such as fishing, camping, 4-wheeling, and making memories with company around a campfire. She was very creative and artistic, and sang her heart out every chance she had. Loretta loved helping others. She was an incredibly devoted mother to her children, and a trusted mentor to many others. She had a great love for all animals, especially her grandcats Milo Jean, Xanny, and Thor.
Loretta is predeceased by her sister, Angella Lewis.
Survivors include Loretta’s mother, Jackie (Timothy) Brockett; father, Ed (Kimberly) Lewis; siblings, Pamela Lewis, Serina (Donald) Lewis-Galla, Vanessa (Scott) Hawkins; children, Angelina Oakes, Dawson Carter, Sebastian Carter, and Heavenleigh Carter; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a great nephew.
