Lorraine O'Neill Obituary

May 18, 1952 – March 12, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lorraine O’Neill (Mallory), who left this world on March 12, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on May 18, 1952, in Fulton, NY, Lorraine lived a life full of warmth, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to those she cherished.

Lorraine shared 51 amazing years of marriage with her beloved husband, Craig “Curly” O’Neill, a love story filled with laughter, friendship, and a lifetime of treasured memories. Together, they built a home, and a family that was her greatest joy. She is survived by her daughter, Celicia Robbins (O’Neill), and her husband Keith Robbins, and her son, Craig O'Neill Jr., and his partner Chanel Henderson. Her love knew no bounds when it came to her cherished grandchildren: Shannan Uttendorfsky (Robbins) and her husband John Uttendorfsky, William Robbins and his fiancée Madison Brown, Cailey Robbins and her fiancée Chris Bower, Kasey O'Neill, and Cameron O'Neill. Lorraine’s heart expanded even more for her precious great-grandchildren: Sheilynn Robbins, Liam Robbins, and Joseph Uttendorfsky.

She was the daughter of the late Lawrence “Red” Mallory and Virginia Mallory and is survived by her siblings: Ronald Mallory (wife Diane), Margaret Hare (Mallory) (husband Kenneth Hare), and Janet Mallory. She was also deeply connected to and adored her extended family, including Merl White, Cathy Coville (Mallory), Kenneth O’Neill, Patrick O’Neill, Joyce Rayder (O'Neill), Deedra Knight (O’Neill), and Beltrum Gushlaw and her lifelong friend Patty Jo Hinman. She was predeceased by her siblings Marybeth Hoag (Mallory), Rose Marie White (Mallory), Tom Mallory, and her sister-in-law Debbie Gushlaw (O'Neill).

Lorraine was a woman of many talents. A gifted crocheter and crafter, she had an extraordinary ability to turn simple materials into beautiful keepsakes. She also had a deep appreciation for technology, mastering everything from tin-type machines and typewriters to modern computers, laptops, and game systems. Whether she was playing her favorite game of Golf with her friends, or a fierce hand of cards—especially fierce if she had a better hand than Curly—her competitive spirit and quick wit made every game more fun. And her baking skills were legendary!

Above all, Lorraine’s heart belonged to her family. She was a guiding light not just to her children and grandchildren, but to her many nieces and nephews, always offering support, advice, and an open door through life’s transitions. She will be deeply missed, but her love and laughter will live on in the memories of those who were blessed to know her.

A celebration of Lorraine’s life will be held soon. Her family is deeply grateful for the kindness, love, and thoughtful gestures extended to them during this time—they truly meant the world to Lorraine and all who loved her.

May she rest in peace, knowing she was deeply loved.
