Margaret "Betty" E. Grannis

Margaret "Betty" Grannis of Central Square, New York passed away at 96 years old on July 18, 2024, with loved ones by her side.

Betty was predeceased by her husband of 63 years Robert D. Grannis in 2021, her parents John and Marguerite (Hennigan) Snyder; 3 brothers, John, Robert and Richard.

She is survived by many generations of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Before marriage Betty loved being a N.Y. Telephone Operator and later becoming a housewife.

Betty never met a cookie she didn't like and never missed her two finger Bourbon drink on Sundays.

She also loved to volunteer at local Blood Drives, driving the elderly to medical appointments and Bingo at her church.

She was also very active at her church St. Michael's/Divine Mercy as a eucharistic minister. She loved being part of Home Bureau and playing cards and Bunco with friends.

Calling hours will be from 4:00-6:00pm on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Traub Funeral Home, 684 North Main Street, Central Square, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Divine Mercy Parish, 592 South Main Street, Central Square, New York. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Central Square, New York.
