Margaret “Maggie” Wason passed away on April 01, 2025 in Florida.
Visitation will be held at Traub Funeral Home in Central Square on Tuesday, April 29 2025 from 5:00PM - 7:00PM, ending with a concluding prayer.
Maggie was born in Fulton on April 16, 1955 to the late Walter and Mary Dewey. She graduated from Central Square High School and earned her Associates degree from Onondaga Community College. Maggie was employed by General Electric, where she met Rick. The two were married in North Syracuse in 1993. Maggie went on to work for several years at Upstate University Hospital in the Regional Oncology Center until her retirement in 2011.
Maggie was a loving mother and wife, devoted to God. She enjoyed golfing, cooking, playing pool, estate sales, and she could never pass a garage sale. Her favorite places to be were at her lake house on the back deck with company or on her lanai in Florida enjoying the sunshine. She will be well remembered for her witty and playful personality by all who knew her, as well as her comforting spirit.
Surviving is her adoring husband of 32 years, Rickey; her beloved children: Jillian (Brian) Sugrue, Molly (Timothy) Foster, and Sarah Wason; her siblings: Lorraine, Karen, and Martin; her grandchildren: Paul, Noah, and Travis Bowles, as well as her extended family. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her siblings: Ann, Ed, Jeanette, Evelyn, Kathryn.
