Marie A. Coughlin

Marie A. Coughlin, 80, of West Monroe passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 with her family at her side.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Traub Funeral Home in Central Square, NY from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. A service will be held at the funeral home the following day, Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 10AM, followed by burial at West Monroe Cemetery. 

Marie was born to John and Clara Gugliotto on February 24, 1946. She graduated from Paul V. Moore High School, and married Hadwen Coughlin at St. Michael’s Church on June 28, 1969. She had a career in sales, working for various companies over the years. She also spent time as a homemaker, raising her two sons. 

Marie had a classy,  creative personality, as well as an excellent sense of humor. She loved to sing and dance, appearing in many local stage plays and musicals, even once performing at the Landmark Theatre. She was a member of the Liverpool Community Chorus, and taught dance classes at Arthur Murray Dance Studio. Marie also loved to garden, and was a part of the American Rose Society. 

Most of all, Marie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be dearly missed. 

She is survived by her husband; Had Coughlin, her sons; Casey (Lisa) Coughlin and Tim Coughlin, her sister; Joan (Rob Belisario) Blackmon, grandchildren; Tara (Jake) Lohr and Ryan Coughlin, niece; Danyel (Donnie) Adams, and nephew; Joe (Stephanie) Blackmon, as well as extended family.
