Nona M. Bosell

Nona M. (Reome) Bosell, 76, of 17 Baratier Road, Hastings, died April 26, 2023 after a long illness.

The daughter of Cyril and Lucille Reome, she was born in Malone, NY, on Oct. 19, 1946. Her family moved to Syracuse when she was a child. She grew up in Syracuse.

Bosell attended Central Technical High School, where she studied cosmetology. After her training, she worked as a hairdresser in her mother's salon in the Syracuse area. On April 11, 1966, she married her childhood sweetheart, William W. Bosell Jr., and dedicated her life to her family as a wife, mother and homemaker.

Bosell was a communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Parish, NY,  before it closed. She later joined the congregations in both Mexico and Central Square. She enjoyed going to yard sales, going to the casino and spending time with family.

Bosell was predeceased by her husband on Dec. 30, 2021; by a daughter, Shelly Lynn Bosell, on Dec. 17, 1978; by her parents and by an infant brother, Cyril Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Robin D. Snyder of Mallory; by her son, William J. (Amy) Bosell of Mexico; by a sister, Cyrilla D. (James) Pecoy of Parish; by a brother, Serle (Rosemarie) Reome of Hastings; by grandsons John Snyder III (Tiffany Deon)) and Joseph Snyder, both of Syracuse; by granddaughters Angel Ryder (Carmen Neri) of West Monroe, Kathleen Bosell of Mexico, Brooklyn Bosell of Clay and Breonica Dings of Oswego; by 13 great-grandchildren, Alexis Snyder, John Snyder IV, Chloe Snyder, Vincent Ryder, Chad Ryder, Shelly Ryder, Carmela Neri, Khyla Snyder, Dominic Walcutt, JaeLyn Bosell, Skylin Bosell, Brayden Paninski, and Ayden Paninski; and by several nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

Services will be held at Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Central Square at 9 a.m., Thursday, May 4, 2023.

Burial will follow at Pleasant Lawn Cemetery, Parish.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, May 3, from 4-6 p.m. at Traub Funeral Home, 684 N. Main St., Central Square.
