Peter F Opperman

Peter F. Opperman 73, of Central Square, NY passed away on June 21, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family after a brave battle with cancer.

Pete had a strong work ethic that he instilled in his children and those around him. Pete was a Navy Veteran, and worked for Plumbers Local 267 for several years after graduating from Solvay High School. Later he graduated from SUNY Oswego and retired from St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. Pete enjoyed golfing, fishing, kayaking, and curating dishes for his family.

Pete was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Bart and father Jack Opperman. He leaves behind his loving wife of 43 years; Sandra, their two children Jessica Opperman and Jacqueline (Phillip) Mansueto, and his grandchildren; Luca and Rosalia Mansueto. Siblings Michelle, Michael, Vincent Opperman, and the late Jacqueline Leeper (Opperman) as well as his extended family members, nieces, nephews, and friends. 

As per wishes there will be no services, his family will honor his life privately. Contributions may be made to Hospice
