Richard J. Darrow, Jr., 60, of Cleveland, NY, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2021 at University Hospital
Richard was born in Syracuse, NY, on June 19, 1960, son of the late Richard Sr. and Beatrice (Wilcox) Darrow. He grew up in Constantia, NY and was a 1978 graduate of Paul V. Moore High School. He was employed by Schilling Forge in E. Syracuse; as a Forger (Hammer Operator) for the past 25 years. Richard-(Richie) was a good hard working man. His family meant the world to him. There wasn't anything he wouldn't do to make sure they were all safe and taken care of. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, the outdoors, fishing, football, collecting coins and the History Channel. His smile was the most contagious when with family and friends. He will forever leave a place in our hearts.
Richard is survived by his devoted companion of 30 years, Cindy Witherell; the apple of his eye, daughter Cacey Lynn Darrow; step daughters Sara (Chris) VanMarter and Britni (Roger) Daubek; siblings Jacqueline (Scott) Darrow, Rebecca (Robert) Klossner, Kellie (Mitchell) Lobdell, Melinda (Mark) King, Jeffrey Darrow, Peggi (Justin) DeAmbra; five grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, niceces, and nephews.
Due to COVID-19, a later date and time will be given for a celebration of life, service, and burial in Constantia Rural Cemetery. Contributions may be made to his family c/o Cindy Witherell, 211 State Route 49, Cleveland, NY 13042.
