Richard H Stephenson

Richard H. Stephenson, 63, of Phoenix, passed away on Wednesday November 10th, 2021. 

Richie was born March 14, 1958 in Liberty, NY to Harold and Joyce Stephenson.  He was one of a kind, always going above and beyond to take care of people that needed his help and/or his knowledge. Richie was a genius when it came to wrenching. Whether it was on cars or trucks, or as most know him for, John Deere repair. Richie would give a helping hand to anyone and would never expect anything in return. During Richie's time, turning a wrench, he has completed many training programs, received multiple awards and was certified in anything he put his mind to. On Richie's off time from working in the shop or side jobs, Richie truly enjoyed Hunting, Trap Shooting, and Archery. If you had the chance to join Richie in any of his hobbies you would know that he was on top his game at all times, winning many awards and trophies for his skills in Trap Shooting and Archery. Richie has left his name in many places and he will never be forgotten. 

Richie is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by siblings Susan Helmuth of Youngsville, NY, David Stephenson of Tennessee, Thomas Stephenson of White Sulpher Springs, NY, Daniel Stephenson of Monticello,  NY, and Marcie Cobb of Iowa; aunts, Margarie Mead of Pennsylvania and Carol Stephenson of Poughkeepsie, NY.; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  

Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, November 23rd, 2pm-4pm, at Traub Funeral Home in Central Square, followed by A Celebration of Life at 4pm.
