Robert “Bob” William Holmes, of Williamstown, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, with his family by his side.
Bob was born on June 24, 1957, in Oneida.
Bob was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was an overall woodsman, raising his own deer at his residence for several years, and competing in his younger years in many archery competitions. Bob retired from logging to take care of his beloved wife, Deborah. He was very close with his grandchildren and always found the time to play with them.
Along with his parents, Bob is predeceased by his beloved wife Deborah “Debbie” Holmes (Chapman), and his brother, Chuck Holmes.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Steven (RaeAnne) Wright Jr., David (Katrina) Wright, Robert “Bobby” Holmes III, Daniel “Danny” Holmes; brother Michael (Louis) Holmes; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and countless friends.
Bob’s wishes were to donate any parts of his body that could be used to help people, just like his wife Debbie. With this said because Debbie was just returned, we will be holding a joint celebration of life on Saturday, November 11 at Robert and Debbie’s home at 214 Nichols Road, Williamstown, NY, from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer’s Foundation and/or to the Heart Foundation.
