Robert E. Hopper

Robert E. Hopper, 83, of West Monroe passed peacefully at home on Monday, December 14, 2020, with loving family by his side.

Born in Watertown to Earl and Dorothy Hopper, Robert enlisted in the Navy Reserves before working for Crouse Hinds and retiring from New Process Gear as Traffic Manager. Robert was a devout Catholic and member of Divine Mercy Parish in Central Square. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and "Master of all trades."

Robert is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, the former Shirley Kilburn; children Lynn (Paul) Whitney, Robert (Cynthia) Hopper, Lisa (Craig) Brunner, and Kim (Sam) Szuck; sisters Ruth Lauber and Rita Edwards; sister in law Grace Kilburn;  12 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2020, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, at Traub Funeral Home, Inc., 684 N. Main St., Central Square. A Funeral Mass will be held privately.
