Robert McKie, of Hastings, New York passed away on April 13, 2026. His 93 years were spent demonstrating kindness, faith and devotion. Robert was a devout Jehovah’s Witness since he was a boy and lived a full life with purpose.
He and his first wife, Mary Lois owned and operated the King’s Inn Bed n Breakfast in Port Henry, New York until her passing. Even though Bob was a full time Master Carpenter in the Syracuse Carpenters union and surrounding area, he could still be found in the restaurant’s kitchen baking for his guests which was his passion. Robert and Carolyn, his wife of 30 years moved back to Syracuse, New York to be closer to his children and to enjoy his retirement years.
Robert is survived by his wife the former Carolyn Pembleton; children, Marni McKie, Robyn Stacy, and John McKie; son-in law, Tim Stacy; step-children, Lynn Misiti and Steven Conklin; grandchildren, Tyler Hook and Ryan Hook; great-grandchildren, Ian Hook, Javan Pruitt, Olivia and Levi Hook and Rieley Hook.
