Ronald B. Darrow of Cleveland, New York died on Saturday, November 22, 2025, following a long illness. He was the son of the late Robert B. “Red” and Marion Bechtel Darrow.
Ron was a very proud and active member of the community, serving on the Board of Directors of Oswego County Opportunities, Operation Oswego County and Cleveland Historical Society. He was the former Town of Constantia Supervisor and a former Oswego County Legislator. He was a 50-year member of Constantia Masonic Lodge and Bernhards Bay Methodist Church. He was a devoted family man, loving husband, proud father and grandfather. He was extremely honored to have been selected to be on the Wall of Distinction of Central Square High School.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years the former Kathryn Oatman; son, Michael (Dana) Darrow; daughter, Diane “Dee” (Brian) Shaffer; brother, Robert Darrow; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services and burial will be in Bernhards Bay Rural Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cleveland United Methodist Church.
