Ronald Jordan Victor Tooke

Ronald Jordan Victor Tooke, 55, left us quietly and courageously at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, NY, on February 16, 2020. He lost his valiant battle against cancer and will now join his father, Stanley Tooke, his mother Carolyn (Stott) Tooke, and sister Sheryl Lynn Arida, who have predeceased him.

He was born July 27, 1964 in Herkimer, NY. and attended school in Mohawk, NY graduating in 1983. Ron was last employed by TAG Mechanical of Syracuse, NY as an HVAC installer, retiring from that position in June of 2018.

His greatest joy was found while using his excellent construction and design skills. He extensively remodeled his home and beautified the land surrounding it. One of his last accomplishments was designing and installing a beautifully landscaped pond that provided him and his wife, Judy, a peaceful place to relax and enjoy beautiful summer evenings.

His long-time love of craft beer led Ron and Judy to travel extensively throughout the Northeast, always discovering that next new brewery.

Ron led a quiet life surrounding himself with beauty inside and outside of his home. His love of all kinds of music provided a soundtrack to all his activities. spending time with his family was always a priority that never wavered. His quiet sense of humor was well known, a single, straight-faced word could make everyone laugh hysterically.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 20 years, Judith Tooke, his stepson, Jason Tomei and wife Kristina, and grandsons Nicholas and Maxton Tomei. Also sharing the loss are his sister, Janice Burdick and husband Edward, brother -in-law Joseph Arida, nephews Joseph Arida and wife Meg, and Branden DiDonna.
