Russell M. Raymond, 69, of Constantia passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 14, 2024 with his family by his side.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Russell’s honor at the Constantia Fire Department on Saturday, October 05, 2024 from 1:00PM - 5:00PM.
Russell was born in Syracuse, to the late June Marshfield on December 19, 1954. He graduated from Paul V. Moore High School and dedicated over 30 years as a maintenance mechanic at Anheuser Bush. In 1973, he married Arlene Tyrrell in Bernhards Bay, NY.
Russell was an outdoorsman at heart. He loved to hunt, camp, hike and snowshoe. He was even part of the famous “Adirondack Fourty-Sixers”, an organization of hikers who have climbed all forty-six of the traditionally recognized High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains.
Russell was a dedicated member of the Constantia Volunteer Fire Department. He held many different positions in office there, most recently being the Commissioner before his retirement.
Russell is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years; Arlene, his children, Michael Raymond and Andrew (Amber) Raymond, as well as his grandchildren; Merisa, Makena, Charlie and Maizie. Besides his mother, he is predeceased by a grandson, Maverick Russell Thomas Raymond.
