Ruth J. Prime

Ruth J. Nelipowitz Aller Prime, of North Syracuse (105 years old) passed away quietly on Thursday, April 09, 2026 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

In accordance with Ruth’s wishes, there will be no public services. Arrangements are entrusted to Traub Funeral Home in Central Square.

 A Celebration of Life will be held in Ruth’s honor at a later date and time to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Ruth’s name to The Francis House in Syracuse or Meals on Wheels in North Syracuse.

Ruth was born in Syracuse, NY on August 13, 1920 to the late Frederick and Mary Nelipowitz. She worked at Chappels clothing store, Hotel Syracuse and many years in public relations at East Syracuse Chevrolet. She greatly enjoyed living on the St. Lawrence River in Cape Vincent where she resided for 43 summers. She was also a devoted communicant of St. Margarets Church in Mattydale, NY for over 50 years. 

Besides her parents, Ruth is predeceased by her husbands Howard B. Aller and Lyle “Bud” Prime and her son James Aller, as well as her brother James Nelipowitz. 

Ruth is survived by her sons Douglas (Babette) Aller, and Mark (Lisa) Aller, her 3 granddaughters, and many friends.

Thank you for my two sons that have never given me trouble that i know of

and for their wives, who have always treated me as a friend, instead of a mother in law
