Sandra S. Wood

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Sandra S Wood passed away on August 26, 2024 surrounded by family following a brief illness.

She was predeceased by her parents, Kenneth Sr. and Betty Wood and sister, Martha VanTassel.

She is survived by her children, Jennifer (Jesse) Monette, Sonia, Alicia and Jonathan Dodge.  Grandchildren Ava Bird and Bristol Monette. Sisters Patricia Webb and Bonnie Hass. Brothers Kenneth Jr., Randy and Michael (Diana) Wood along with several nieces and nephews.

Sandra was a free spirit that loved listening to music, dancing and making people laugh. She had a strong appreciation for nature and found pleasure in observing wildlife from her front porch. Family could depend on her willingness to provide support and a helping hand in any situation. She will be remembered for her devotion to being a mother, who spent time baking, doing jigsaw puzzles, crafts and sending thoughtful cards for all occasions. Her family will always love and keep her in their hearts. 

Sandra will be buried at West Monroe Cemetery and will be honored with a celebration of life at a future date.
