Sarah Merritt

Sarah Merritt was born in West Monroe, NY, on March 10, 1934. Sarah’s younger years were filled with many comical adventures with her best friend Janet Dunn. She married Norman Lohm, the love of her life, and they were blessed with 7 beautiful children. Her “Normy” tragically passed away in 1961. Sarah then worked and retired from Niagara Mohawk to travel in their motorhome and lived in Florida for 25 years. She survived multiple serious illnesses, always with quiet strength and gentle grace. She was a friend to many, but above all she was our beloved mother. Sarah is predeceased by her sons Lance and Daniel Lohm. She has five surviving children: Elaine Merrill, Kristine Taylor, Mark Lohm, Cindy Hart, Shari Campbell and their spouses. She will be dearly missed by 19 plus grandchildren, 29 plus great grandchildren, and 6 plus great-great grandchildren. Calling hours will take place on Friday, July 26 from 11:00am till 1:00pm at Traub Funeral Home Inc., 684 N. Main Street, Central Square, NY 13036. . A funeral service will follow immediately after. A graveside service will take place at West Monroe Cemetery.
