Shelley M. ("Amma") Wells

Shelley M. Wells "Amma," 63, of Palermo, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, October 1, 2021.

Born June 5, 1958, Shelley was the daughter of Clifford Welch and the late Francis Gleason. Shelley devoted her whole life to children and was known as the neighborhood babysitter who took care of countless children throughout the years. Among the many kids were her precious Kadyn, Mason, Ricky, and Ashley. Shelley's other passions were sewing and crocheting, with a particular passion of making quilts for those she loved and always enjoyed a good fabric sale. 

Shelley is predeceased by her husband Robert Wells in October of 2012 and companion Danny Miller in June of 2020. She is survived by her children Kristina (Jason) Dann, Robert (Teri) Wells, Jr., Alan Wells, Kristine (Pedro C.) Wells, Amanda Wells, and Jennifer (Caleb) King; father Clifford Welch; step father James Gleason; four sisters; two brothers; grandchildren Alyssa, Grace, Faith, Hailey, Devin, and Renee; and many other friends and family, especially Aunt Marie.

Calling Hours will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at Traub Funeral Home, Central Square. Funeral Services are Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at 12:00 pm, at the funeral home followed by a burial in Upson Corners Cemetery.
