Steven C. Lombardoni

Steven Christopher Lombardoni, 58, passed away on November 11, 2024, surrounded by loved ones after a recent cancer diagnosis.

Steve was born on July 28,1966 by Geraldine Rogers and Frederick Lombardoni in Gloversville, NY. He graduated from Johnstown High School in 1984 and Enlisted in the United States Army.

Steve was stationed in Germany. He served in the Desert Storm and Desert Shield. Eventually, he was honorably discharged as a Sergeant, holding various awards and ribbons. 

After his military career in 1994, he went on to dedicate over 30 years as a Line haul Truck Driver for XPO Logistics out of Syracuse.

Steve was a classic car enthusiast, He and his wife Valerie shared a passion showing their ‘67 and ‘69 Chevelles every year at Syracuse Nationals since they met back in 2010. Valerie and Steve married on May 12, 2019.

Steve was an outdoorsman who truly did it all. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting his guns and being “Papa Doni”, as well as his annual Sugar Cave hunting trip.

Steve is predeceased by his father; Frederick Lombardoni, his wife Valerie Lombardoni. Grandparents on both side; Levi and Veleda Cromer, Maine and Frederick Lombardoni, and an uncle; Paul Cromer. Surviving is his mother; Geraldine Rogers, his daughters; Kayla Lombardoni, Stevie (Walker Connolly) Lombardoni and Joelle (Geremia Zabala) Lombardoni, his stepchildren; Kimberly Knaul, Karyn Knaul, and William Lewis, his grandchildren; Harper, Cooper, Piper, Marcelo, Knox, Nora and Milani. His siblings; Kelly, Lisa and Jovanni, as well as his best friends; The Blowers Family, the Van Alstyne Family, and his freight family, known as the “Party Line.”

Visitation will be held at Traub Funeral Home in Central Square, NY on Friday November 15, 2024 from 10:00AM-1:00PM, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00PM. There will be a Celebration of Life held at 3:30pm at the Phoenix Fire Department Enterprise. Steven will receive military honors, and be laid to rest at West Monroe Cemetery beside his beloved wife.
