Steven F. Norton

Steven L. Norton, 77 of Lakeland, New York passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Syracuse, New York following a lengthy illness. Steven was July 13, 1948, son of the late James and Rosemary Szesnat Norton. He was raised in Solvay, New York and was a life long resident of the area. 

Steven retired in 2009 from Pass & Seymour Legrand in Solvay, New York following nearly 35 years of service as a Tool and Die Maker. He was a United States Air Force veteran serving in Vietnam. He enjoyed photography, fishing, telling jokes and reading, especially Steven King.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, the former Diane Schilling; son, Tracy Norton; daughter, Alisa (Jim) Rogers; sister, Sheila (Steve) Hansen; brother, James (Karen) Norton; grandchildren, Kyra, Ian, Fallon, Jessica, Spencer and Jerrett; six great-grandchildren; a niece and two nephews. 

In accordance with Steven's wishes, services and burial will be private. There will be no calling hours.
