Tamilyn “Tami” Yvonne McNeely, age 46, passed away surrounded by her family and friends, on February 12, 2020.
Tami is survived by her only daughter, Alexandria Paige, of Bridgeport; her parents, Rick and Millie McNeely of Bridgeport; her sister, Angela (Damon) Gagnier; her niece, Megan Gagnier, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Kenneth and Regina McNeely, of Bridgeport; and her grandparents, Wilbur and Florence Graham, of Bridgeport.
Tami was born on April 22, 1973 in Oneida, NY, to parents Rick and Millie. She graduated from Chittenango High School in 1991, and graduated from Crouse Hospital School of Nursing in 1997 with an associate degree in nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse for both Crouse Hospital and Upstate Medical University. She had worked as a nurse case-manager at The Hartford Insurance for over 20 years. Recently, she had been working as a subrogation specialist.
Tami was a beloved mother who always supported her daughter’s musical career, and loved always coming to every concert and recital. One of their favorite activities was cooking dinner and watching MTV’s The Challenge together with her cat, Ranger. When she wasn’t watching that or other reality TV, she was an avid horror movie buff. Her daughter will always remember their vacations to different amusement parks. They were always in search of the tallest and fastest roller coasters to ride together. Tami loved to golf, loved to travel, and especially loved to combine the two. She was an animal lover of all kinds, having grown up surrounded by dogs, cats, horses, and other wildlife. She was particularly fond of cats, big and small, and penguins. She is, also, survived by her cherished cat, Ranger Danger.
Open calling hours are scheduled for Tuesday, February 18th, 2020 from 4 - 6 p.m. at Traub Funeral Home Inc., (7975 Route 31, Bridgeport, NY 13030) with a private service to follow. The family would like to thank everyone for their kind thoughts, words, prayers and support during this difficult time.
