Thomas C. Squires

Thomas C. Squires, 63, passed away at his home on Saturday March 01, 2025.

Tom was born in Syracuse to the late Robert Squires and Sally Squires-Day on October 18, 1961. He had many skills he developed throughout his life and was always dreaming up new ideas and passions. 

An avid outdoorsman, Tom loved hiking, rock climbing, camping in the Adirondack mountains, and he had an exceptional talent for building log cabins.  He loved to listen to Tom Petty, especially when driving with the windows down in the summer months. He held a small aircraft and commercial pilots license early in his life. He was also a black belt in karate, and loved sparring at the dojo. Unknown to most, he absolutely loved to write creatively, and wrote unique and beautiful poems. He was a dreamer. 

Thomas had a deep connection with God and was a true believer in Jesus. 

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Thomas is survived by his children; Rosemary (Anas) Almaletti and Warren Squires, his siblings; Susan (Joey) DiVirgilio and Pete (Lynn) Squires, and his granddaughter; Lilian, as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. 

You will be missed, and we will remember your love until we meet again.

The family is holding a private service to honor his memory, and a spring burial.
