William E. "Bill" Dixon, 77, of Central Square, New York died Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, New York,
Born in Malone, New York on July 29, 1945, he was the son of the late Edward and Bertha Trombley Dixon. Bill retired from New Venture Gear following numerous years of service as a Journeyman Electrician. He previously worked at Miller Brewery, Crouse Hinds and was a self employed electrician. Mr. Dixon was a very active member of Operation Life Saver, UAW int., St. Stephens Church in Phoenix, New York and a former communicant of St. Michaels Church in Central Square, New York, and for many years a beloved Central Square Little League coach. He was pre-deceased by a son, Christopher Dixon.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, the former Patricia Fournier; sons, Darryl Dixon, Michael ((Tammi) James, Shane (Katie) Dixon and Jon-Christopher Dixon; daughters, Heidi (Earl) Calkins and Tammy (Tim) Matthew; sister-in-law, Suzanne (Craig) Williamson; brothers-in-law, Larry (Katherine) and Roger (Lisa) Fournier; 12 grandchildren, two great granddaughters, numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Thursday, December 15, 2022 in St. Stephens Church, 469 Main Street, Phoenix, New York. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt, New York. There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
