William Roger King

William R. King, 89, of Constantia, passed away at Van Duyn Nursing Home on Friday June 30, 2023. He was born January 29, 1936 to Roger and Rita(Coon) King in Syracuse.
Throughout William’s lengthy working career he worked at a number of the Syracuse Area Tractor Trailer Companies. William was an avid sports fan. Very involved with the Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed supporting his grandchildren’s musical endeavors. He loved vacationing on the Maine coast with his wife and occasionally his grandkids.
William was predeceased by his parents Roger and Rita and his sister Marilyn Swete. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Sharon LaVigne, sons Michael(Kirstin) and William(Tammy) of Constantia. Grandchildren Michael, Jarred, Kimberley(Robert) and Elizabeth, and great granddaughter Mary Lynn. Brothers Clifford(Anita) of New Hampshire and Christopher(Anita) of Arizona. Also, sister-in-laws Kathy Lavigne, Susan LaVigne, and Nanette(Tom) Cosbey, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Thursday July 6th from 4 to 6pm at Traub Funeral Home with the funeral being held Friday July 7th at 10 am at Traub and graveside service at the Constantia Rural Cemetery.
