William L. Stewart

William “Bill” L. Stewart, 91, of Brewerton passed away at home on October 8, 2020. He was born on August 28, 1929 in Buffalo, NY to the late Harold and the late Marjorie (McIntyre) Stewart. Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Shirley (Battelle) Stewart.

 Bill retired from Bristol Laboratories in Syracuse after 37 years as a Packaging and Production Manager. He was a member of the 174^th Tactical Fighter Wing for 14 years. He was deployed in 1961 when the “Boys from Syracuse” participated in the Berlin Conflict. Bill was also the Chairman of the Planning Board in the Town of Cicero for 35 years. He was an avid Sailor and built his own 34 ft Trimaran. He was also an avid RC Airplane enthusiast.

Bill is survived by his children, Donald (Mary) Stewart, Ginny (Pete) Gordon, and James (Janine) Stewart; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will be held privately in St Mary’s Cemetery in Dewitt.
