James "Jim" Fay, Sr.
April 19, 1940 ~ July 21, 2017 (age 77) 77 Years OldJames "Jim" Fay, Sr., 77, of Phoenix formerly West Monroe, passed peacefully on Friday, with loving family by his side.
Jim proudly served with the US Army during the Korean Conflict, and retired after 24 years with the 152nd Air National Guard as Senior Master Sergeant. Jim was charter member of West Monroe Fire Department as well as member and past Master of Scriba Lodge #414 Free and Accepted Masons where he was a member since 1974. He was an avid train enthusiast and loved to golf.
Jim is survived by his loving and devoted wife, the former Diane Kieffer; children James, Jr (Susan), Sherri (Brian) McInnis, Joseph, Andrew (Michelle), Katherine (Jeff) Timian, and Jason (Jeannie); his beloved dog Cherokee; grandchildren Mark, Robert, Jacqueline, John, Janelle, Matthew, Michael, Joshua, Ashley, Nathan, Brianna, Rebecca Lynn, and Julia Rose; several great grandchildren; best friend Wayne Thompson: and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service: Wednesday, 10:00 am, at Traub Funeral Home, 684 North Main St., Central Square. Calling Hours: Tuesday, 4 pm to 7 pm, at the funeral home. Burial will be immediately following the service in Onondaga Valley Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America, www.pva.org.
