Charlotte M. Phelps, 90, of Bridgeport, passed away on Tuesday. She was born in Mexico, NY to Harry and Elda Cone. She graduated from Mexico Academy and Powelson Business Institute before becoming an Executive Assistant at Carrier Corporation for ten years. Charlotte then devoted herself as a full-time wife and mother. She enjoyed knitting, baking, ironing, gardening and spending time with her family, who will miss her greatly. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, John B. Phelps, in 2000; and siblings, Gerald and Nancy.

She is survived by her children, Deb DeSantis, Sheila Downey, Mark (Lori) Phelps and Sharon Sabatini; grandchildren, Joshua (Ali) Phelps, Danielle (Jake) Bell, Brian Downey, Deanna (Duncan) Preeman, Primo Sabatini, Jr., Michael Sabatini, Dasha (Chris) Pickett and Nicholas Sabatini; great-grandchild, Eleanor Raven Pickett; sister, Fern Mills; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Friday, 4-7 PM, at Traub Funeral Home, Bridgeport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, 11 AM, at St. Francis of Assisi, Bridgeport. Burial will be at Pine Plains Cemetery, Kirkville.
